Regular Meeting Minutes
August 27, 2003
The meeting of the Board of Selectmen was called to order at 3:30 p.m. by Chairman Constance Jones. Present were: William E. Hutchins, Selectman and Tina Stearns, Town Administrator. Selectman Harold Haddock, Jr. was absent due to vacation. The meeting was held in the Town Office on 34 Dunbar Hill Road.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion made by Selectman Hutchins to approve the regular meeting minutes of August 13, 2003; motion seconded by Chairman Jones. The Board voted unanimously to approve.
NEW BUSINESS
Police Dept. Monthly Reports: A resident has requested that the Police Department monthly reports that are submitted to the Board of Selectmen be published on the town’s website. Area towns publish their Police Department activity in local newspapers or on the web.
The Board agreed that the summary sheet of the monthly Police Department reports will be posted on the town’s website, www.granthamnh.net, on the PD’s page.
DEPARTMENT REPORTS
Police: Memo received from Chief Lary stating that all resident dog license requirements have been met for 2003 pursuant to the list of resident names provided to the police department by the Office of the Town Clerk. Hats off to the combined efforts of the Police Department and Town Clerk for this accomplishment!
Town Administrator: The audit of the town’s financial records for the year ending June 30, 2003 will begin on Tuesday, September 2nd. The accounting records are all balanced to the Treasurer’s statement.
Trustee of Trust Funds: Report was distributed for the month of July 2003.
CONTINUING ISSUES
Building Inspector: Tabled the issue to the September 10th meeting.
Municipal Building Committee: The Committee will be making a presentation to the Board of Selectmen on September 10th at 7:00 p.m. in the Grantham Town Hall. This will be an opportunity for residents to see the progress that has been made and to voice their concerns.
NON-PUBLIC
In accordance with RSA 91:A:3, II on a motion by Selectman Hutchins, second by Chairman Jones, after proper vote 2-0, the Board entered into Non-Public session at 3:45 p.m. to discuss confidential matters.
Following proper vote, the Board returned from Non-Public session at 4:15 p.m. with no action to be voted on.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Selectman Hutchins moved to adjourn, seconded by Chairman Jones; the Board voted unanimously to adjourn at 4:15 p.m. There will be a regular Selectmen’s Meeting on Wednesday, September 10th at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall.
